How To Choose the Right Hockey Gloves

Hockey gloves protect your hands from pucks, sticks, and impacts while preserving the mobility needed to pass, shoot, and control the puck. There is no single best hockey glove brand or model worn by most NHL players; professionals use Bauer, CCM, Warrior, Sherwood, and True gloves selected or customized for their fit and protection.

For accurate hockey glove sizing, choose senior hockey gloves, intermediate gloves, or junior hockey gloves by measuring from the tip of your middle finger to the base of your palm. The glove should feel snug without restricting movement, and its cuff should meet your elbow pad without leaving the wrist or palm exposed.

If your palm is visible, move up one size. Traditional fits feel roomier throughout, anatomical fits contour closely to the hand, and tapered fits are snug through the fingers and backhand for responsive stick control.
